ALERT LEVEL 1
There is still a risk of COVID-19 returning to the community.
You are encouraged to continue washing your hands upon entry to the clinic, tracking your visits, and letting us know at the earliest and postponing your visit if you do not feel well.
ALERT LEVEL 2
As we navigate this section of time - where life is returning to normal but not entirely rid of the risk of COVID-19 transmission, the following note outlines our thoughts, efforts, and plan in re-opening under Alert Level 2. Our commitment remains focussed on your safety, but also on the offering the most holistic and effective treatments possible. Please read through the entirety of the list below, prior to your session - this will be the ‘informed’ half of the adapted consent that must be signed upon your arrival.
1. Self-Assessment Tool.
Well Within has a pre-screening tool attached to the appointment reminder that helps both you, the patient and I, the therapist take stock of how you’ve been feeling and whether you are fit to come for treatment.
If there is any doubt about whether you are well enough, please complete it prior to your arrival to the clinic and either cancel your session or get in touch to discuss further.
2. Clinic Environment.
During Level 2, Well Within will be inviting patients to enter through the front door of the clinic and wait in a room designated just for us. Upon entering, it’s the first open door to the left.
We will ask that you scan our clinic QR code with the COVID tracer app before your session.
3. Hand-Washing.
A) PATIENT UPON ENTRY.
Please wash you hands for at least 20 seconds in the basin in the waiting room, followed by thorough drying.
There is an alcohol hand sanitiser for your use - but it is not necessary for you to use it in addition to hand washing.
B) THERAPIST IN THE TREATMENT ROOM.
My hands and arms will be washed with soapy water for at least 20 seconds after every visit with a patient and prior to any contact with you.
4. Enhanced Cleaning.
A) THE CLINIC
The shared surfaces and handles in the clinic will have increased sanitising, daily, to supplement the regular deep, professional clean each week.
B) LINENS *WASHED AS USUAL.
I have spoken with the owner of, Laundrycorp. Ltd., who is in charge of laundering the Well Within linens and I have been assured that their protocols - washing at 60-80 degrees with a disinfecting detergent for 45 minutes, after which they are dried at 87 degrees and pressed at 160 degrees - are COVID-eliminating.
"The wash alone should kill the virus but the drying and ironing acts as a safety guard to kill any unlikely remaining traces.”
5. Personal Protective Equipment *MASK USE.
The recommended use of masks has become more prominent since we were last in Level 2. Due to the nature of our work - taking place indoors and in close contact with one another while there is still possible community transmission, I will be wearing a mask. If you feel comfortable to, you are welcome to wear one also ~ either by bringing your own or one supplied.
6. Payment.
A contactless payment option is preferred or we can arrange payment via an invoice to be paid by direct deposit into the Well Within account.
7. Adapting as Needed.
Should any of these procedures need revision due to new knowledge or are deemed unacceptable, they will most definitely be reviewed.
We must all adapt to the environment of COVID-19 risk. This could mean, what felt safe at one stage may not remain so. Or, what vigilance was initially recommended may relax relative to diminishing risk. At any point during this time, should you feel uncomfortable or unsafe at Well Within, we implore you to say so.
8. Vunerable Persons, Persons over 70.
For the time being, we recommend that our more “vulnerable” patients - those over 70, those with compromised immunity or taking immunosuppressants, and those who are taking extra care in their management of their health for personal reasons not mentioned above call ahead.
If you are someone, over 70, or have any underlying health conditions that requires extra care and you are new to Well Within - please let us know ahead of time.
In the current environment of COVID-19,
Any massage therapy treatment involves some risk of COVID-19 transmission due to the close contact nature of the work.
Well Within is following a protocol to reduce and mitigate risk, but that risk cannot be reduced to zero.
